I spent all day Saturday just finishing everything. I recorded my second CCR, which was originally a talk show interview, into something else. Okay so, considering the time limit and how much time I had on this project, I decided to scrap the talk show element and instead decided to go with something like the interviews that WIRED does on YouTube. Something like their Autocomplete Interview Series with its guests sitting in a white space reading questions off of a board. I still wanted to keep the Hot Ones element of the milk so I titled the show MILKED where they invite lactose intolerant guests and hold interviews for them, but throughout the interview the guests drink a glass of milk. It's funny. Maybe not. It is engaging though and that's what matters. I filmed that in a corner of my room, with my phone propped up on an AMP and a lamp in my face. I had to crop it into a square shape so only the white space is shown and not the desk or bed. I could make the excuse that the interview has been edited for Instagram Reels instead of YouTube, so I will. It is shorter than most of WIRED's interviews so it does work better for the Instagram Reels format. After that, I fixed the audio on my film opening and made the logo for my podcast. The logo is made to resemble the little square icon that podcasts have on apps like Spotify. I didn't add anything else to the visual part of the podcast since I was heavily advised to not do anything other than that. Then I added a musical intro and music in the background.
After editing my MILKED CCR, I realized I was a little over (Not a lot, under a minute) the maximum time limit, ten minutes, so I sped up the podcast to be 1.2 times faster. I wasn't sure if I was gonna go with this or not, so I asked Mrs. Stoklosa (who I probably should've been referring to by name instead of just 'teacher') (sorry) and she said as long as it wasn't a minute over the time limit, I should be fine. Now today, I got back home and reset the podcast to normal speed. We are only 51 seconds over the time limit, which is under a minute!! It counts!! I'm taking it!!
So, this is my final post on this blog. I'm pretty happy with the finished product and I hope I get a good grade. A lot of changes were made like Aba's gender, the inclusion of Teddy, how Aba's powers were portrayed, the dialogue, how long each shot would hold for, and a lot of other things. Most of these were due to fitting the time limit, others because of how difficult casting was, what I could or couldn't accomplish with what I know, and whether or not people were available. Despite all these changes, I'd say the film opening came out pretty swell. Yeah. Swell. I've learnt a lot about the process of the production of a film, and I hope to improve on my process next time. Which would be next year. Since I'm taking AICE Media Studies A Level. So, this is it, it was a pretty daunting project, but I was able to do it. I hope it's good, I think it turned out swell.
